Russian Russian language and culture among the representatives of the Russian national minority in China, problems related to university, school and primary education, problems of information technology, legal and financial support for compatriots in China were considered in particular. As noted by the Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Compatriots in China, Chairman of the Russian Club in Shanghai Mikhail Drozdov – Russian Russian Diaspora recent events in China show that the unification of compatriots within the framework of Russian clubs and information projects, the main one of which today is the Eastern Hemisphere portal, allows us to solve the most difficult pressing problems of Russian-speaking residents of the People’s Republic of China, consolidate to provide information, legal and financial support to our compatriots in trouble, support and coordinate communication between compatriots in China and the foreign institutions of the Russian Federation in China. Given the dynamics of the growth in the number of Russian compatriots and Russian-speaking representatives of the CIS in China, this kind of coordination goes beyond the internal information and communication needs of the diaspora, and acquires an important role in the system of priority directions of Russian foreign policy and interstate relations.
As the organizers of the conference noted, the current third conference of compatriots in China has become the largest in the three-year history of the event. Meanwhile, the dynamics of the development of coordination relationships among compatriots allows us to confidently predict the growth of social activity and an increase in the number of organizations and individuals who want to play an active role in the life of the Russian-speaking community in China.
